What is Equi-bow?

Its a gentle and non invasive technique that includes a mix of Bowen, Feldenkrais, Myofascial Release, and Cranio Sacral therapy. Through Equi-Bow we access the nervous system through a series of gentle moves over different areas of the equine body.
How does Equi-bow work?

We are accessing the nervous system through the muscles and fascia. When gentle moves are made throughout the body, neural impulses are then sent to the brain and allows for neuromusclar re-patterning to occur. This neuro impulses sent through the body allow structural and energetic change to take place. Our goal is to gain structural integrity back in the body to allow the horse to move as optimally as they can.
When should we book an Equi-bow appointment?

Equi-bow is both a preventative and reactionary form of equine treatment. Equi-bow can help horses with a number of behavioural and physical issues. An Equi-Bow session is great for those horses who need a little extra support (older horses, preganant mares, competing athletes, just born foals ect.) On the other end of the spectrum if a horse has had a chronic issue going on for years, or if a horse has just gone through a trauma or injury Equi-Bow would be a great support in the healing process. If you notice something is off with your horse or they are acting out of character, feel free to contact us and we can discuss the best option for you horse.
When will we see improvement?

It can take up to two weeks for the horse's body to intergrate changes such as softening of the fascia, lympthatic draingage, and increasing blood flow. We sometimes see changes right away, but we tell clients it can take 2-3 sessions to really see changes take place. Every horse is different, some take longer to process changes than others.
Do you travel to us or do we travel to you?

We travel to you. Based out of the Redwater area, anything under 50km is included in session fee. Willing to travel anywhere, and if there is multiple clients in an area then the mileage can be split equally between them. Our travel fee starts at 53 cents per/km.

The Equi-Bow modality is a therapy and does not in any way replace Veterinarian diagnosis and treatment.

We recommend that you seek licensed veterinary care for any serious injuries or emergencies. But Equi-bow can make a very beneficial support in healing or illness.
